Modern glass bottling conveying is getting faster and faster. At the same
time, the demands for a greater variety of container shapes, thinner
materials and decorative labelling create greater challenges for bottle
handling. Maintaining bottling line effi ciency is always the priority, while
production environment issues such as noise are more and more a concern.
To cope with these challenges, RegalRexnord is now introducing 661-series,
a breakthrough in conveying technology. Main reasons for installing these
chains are reduced noise, smooth running, lower energy consumption,
easy retrofi ts, minimized conveyor construction cost and less weight.
Benefits and Features
1. Increased effi ciency, less fallen or damaged containers, even if difficult to convey
- The smaller pitch provides a smaller
polygon effect, resulting in a smoother
run of the chains compared to standard
TableTop chains. With equivalent pitch
diameter, standard 60-series chains running
on a sprocket with 21 teeth (10.5 effective)
has 4.5% speed variation, whereas new
661 running on a sprocket with 16 teeth
has only 1.9%
- Smaller transfers
- 30% Smaller gap between links of sidefl
exing chains for better product stability
2. Reduction of noise
- On an average noise was measured 3 dBA lower on
empty conveyors, a reduction in noise energy of 50%
3. Easy installation
- 25 % less weight of the chain facilitates
installation activities
4. Lower cost of conveyor construction
- The sprockets’ range is wider and starts with a smaller
diameter, enabling conveyor designers to use fewer
shafts and drives.
4. Lower energy consumption
- On an empty conveyor, there is 25% less energy
consumption; on a conveyor loaded with 5 kg products
per meter it is 13% less
5. Easy retrofit
- 661 series chains run in the same track width as standard
TableTop chains; just the upper curve track should be changed
- Same sprocket positioning as standard 1.5” pitch TableTop chains

6. Various offering
- Straight running and sideflexing executions both in 3.25” and 84 mm width
